To plan for Ka`u's future, people should get outside their homes and neighborhoods and experience the land and water. Hawai`i Volcanoes National Park is hosting this 2.5 mile hike through pasture, quarry, airstrip, and the beauty of 1868 lava fields.
Boots, long pants and protection from weather are recommended.
