Final Puna Community Development Plan

Contains the Final Puna CDP as adopted by the County Council on August 27, 2008. Also, included in this folder are the Appendix Community Documents (Small Group Results & Working Group Reports), Appendix Technical Documents and Appendix PB Americas Documents.

Implementation

This folder contains documents, information and links related to the implementation of the Puna CDP. Subfolders contains information and links related to implementation of the action items under the themes Malama I Ka Aina, Growth Management and Transportation. Other subfolders include information relevant to the Action Committee (meeting agendas, meeting minutes), press releases and events.

Development Activities in Puna

Inside this folder you will find links to the Board of Appeals, Planning Commission and County Council pages of the Hawaii County website where their respective meeting agendas can be accessed. These agendas are also published in the Hawaii Tribune Herald and West Hawaii Today under State/County Notices at the beginning of the Classifieds Section. Also posted in this section are new subdivision applications accepted by the Planning Department for properties in the Puna CDP planning area. Notice of new subdivision applications are published semi-monthly, but only those notices that include an application for lands within the Puna CDP planning area are posted here.

Planning Resources

This folder contains maps, previous planning efforts, land use workshop power point, population & housing projections, subdivision inventory & LOS, aerial photos and Kapoho Land Development maps.

Funding and Assistance Resources

This folder contains a variety of grant and other funding and assistance resources that may be applicable to Actions listed in the Puna CDP. These usually are opportunites for funding or other types assistance that are brought to the attention of the Planning Department and that may be available to community based groups.

Amendments to the Puna CDP

This folder contains communications and information regarding any proposed amendments to the Puna CDP.

Planning Phase

This folder contains information and documents related to the entire planning phase of the Puna CDP. Documents included in this file range from the initial planning phase to adoption of the Puna CDP.
