The Hawai'i County Resource Center is offering a valuable capacity building service as a part of the Ka'u Community Development Plan (CDP). Come and learn how to:

          •  Design Successful Meetings for Your Workplace, Community and Family
          • Increase Member / Participant Involvement
          • Implement Techniques for Reaching Team Decisions and Goals
          • Implement Facilitation, Collaboration and Evaluation tools

The Basic Facilitation trainer: Carrie Kuwada Phipps, M.S.
Carrie has served as Public Health Educator for the Hawaii State Department of Health since 1989. Over the years, she has focused on Health Promotion, Disease & Injury Prevention Program planning, implementation and evaluation. Much of this has been accomplished through community coalition building, networking, organizing and coordinating. Her business venture “POHAKEA” (taking it forward), focuses on effective meeting planning, facilitation of meetings, and strategic planning for community, public and private organizations.
